The "Simbolica-mente" project stems from a continuous desire for self-knowledge and understanding, which in turn leads to a better understanding of the world. This journey is acknowledged as endless. The project delves into the invisible world of symbols, the unconscious, and the archaic, where the "I" transforms into the mythical hero of a story.
"Simbolica-mente" is a theater-dance performance acting as a "reminder," a collective invitation to awaken consciousness. It aims to shake the audience from an unconscious state that leads to blindly following external norms and rules, a stupor that makes us identify with the material world and traps us in the prison of our own Ego.
The project highlights the "Hero's Journey" in myths and fables, typically divided into three acts: the Call, Initiation, and Return. It emphasizes the difficulty of recognizing this call in our own lives. The philosophy of Yoga is also integrated, teaching that challenges are opportunities to learn lessons, which will reappear if not learned.
Similar to Ericksonian hypnosis, the project is based on the belief that we already possess the resources to face these challenges. Through myths and fables, we have acquired teachings and wisdom that are now ready to be utilized. "Simbolica-mente" does not seek to teach anything new but to reawaken an existing knowledge within us, inviting us to remember our true nature and bravely embark on our personal hero's journey.
